1937-1942, Studies at Kansas City Art Institute, Missouri, USA.
1948-1952 Studies at Art Students League, New York City, USA.
1953, Travels in Italy and Spain, settles in Paris. Meets with Jean
Dubuffet, Georgesmathieu, Pierre Soulages, Michel Tapié and
others american artists who live in paris such as : Laurence Calgano,
Sam Francis, Norman Bluhm, Claire Falkenstein. He starts to pour
his paint on canvas and paper, influenced by Gustave Moreau and
Wols.
1954, first personal ehibition at studio Paul Facchetti in Paris,
France.
1955, First personal exhibition in the USA at Seattle.
1959-1960, Studies Kant an Goethe. Uses an ivory knife to direct
the flows of paint. Starts to title his paintings « Phenomena
», titlefollowed by a sentence or special words. Travels to
Spain, start to to use acrylic paint.
